What you need

Start with a photo, a home printer, a sheet of blank printable adhesive paper compatible with that printer, and scissors or a paper trimmer. Check whether the paper is for inkjet or laser printers; they are not always interchangeable.

Foldit prints a simple repeating grid, not a specialty label template. Blank, uncut adhesive sheets work best. Pre-cut address labels need precise positions that this app does not currently calculate.

Create your sticker sheet

  1. Choose a bold photo that remains recognizable when small. A pet, a smiling portrait, a product image or a family snapshot works well.
  2. Open Foldit, select A4, and upload the image.
  3. Try 3 × 3, Crop to fill, 5 mm spacing and 8 mm margins.
  4. Enable Show borders if you want visible lines to cut along. Disable it if you prefer sticker edges without outlines.
  5. Print the resulting PDF on your adhesive paper using the printer’s recommended media settings. Cut the images apart after the ink or toner has settled.
First test on ordinary paperPrint a single draft before using adhesive stock. Check which side of the paper your printer prints on and confirm that the paper size is correct. Never use paper that your printer manufacturer says is unsuitable.

Choosing the right fit

Crop to fill produces rectangular stickers with no white bands, but trims the edges of the source photo. Fit whole preserves the whole picture inside the cell, with possible white bands. Neither mode turns a photo into a custom shape or removes its background.

Ideas beyond decorations

Add a small photo sticker to a wrapped present, a school craft project, a notebook cover or a handmade thank-you note. A batch of identical pictures is especially handy when you are preparing a set of matching cards.

If you need exact circles, kiss-cut outlines or commercial label alignment, use a dedicated label design tool instead. Foldit is meant to keep simple rectangular photo repeats fast and predictable.
